Insights into everyday laboratory life | Many visitors on World Quantum Day

 |  TRR 142 - Maßgeschneiderte nichtlineare Photonik: Von grundlegenden Konzepten zu funktionellen Strukturen

This year's World Quantum Day took place on April 14th. In addition to an online programme, which is still available here on the on the event page, scientists from Paderborn University offered insights into optics labs and clean rooms. With around 50 visitors, this offer was very well received.

The first visitors arrived at 3 p.m. and were delighted about the "opportunity that does not come along every day". Interested people of all ages took part in the laboratory tours. Students and university staff also seized the opportunity to see rooms they have no access to in everyday life. Over coffee and biscuits, the visitors gained a lot of first hand information about quantum sciences. The last guests left the university building after 6 p.m. and thanked them for "the exciting afternoon".
