 |  TRR 142 - Maßgeschneiderte nichtlineare Photonik: Von grundlegenden Konzepten zu funktionellen Strukturen

With her laudatory speech at the ZEISS Research Award ceremony, Prof. Dr. Christine Silberhorn honoured outstanding research achievements in the fields of optics and photonics. ZEISS presented two research awards to a total of four scientists at a ceremony at the Deutsches Museum in Munich on 27 June.

Prof. Dr. Immanuel Bloch received the "ZEISS Research Award", while Dr. Simon Baier, Dr. Arindam Ghosh and Dr. Dasha Nelidova received the "Carl Zeiss Award for Young Researchers".

The quantum physicist Prof. Dr. Immanuel Bloch is considered a pioneer of quantum research. Experts are already trading the scientific director at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Garching near Munich and professor of experimental physics at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich as the next German Nobel Prize winner.
